Getting Right Into It

I love to knit. I knit every single day, without exception. However, I don't always have a lot of time for crafting and sometimes this knitting may be literally only two rows. That's why I knit a lot of socks - even if you only do a few rows a day, you'll end up with a pair of socks before too long and, if your only free time is sitting at traffic lights, you'll still be able to work on your socks just a little bit. Sometimes, though, I miss working on bigger projects! I miss working on the lovely things I have cast on. So, when I knew I had to watch a bunch of movies for my research on Saturday, I grabbed all  of the projects I had been neglecting and got really stuck into them.

First up: I cast on the second sock for my Opal Frankensocks that I am knitting with 9" circulars and made a bit of a dent in the cuff (side note: I am not sold on the 9" circs. I am giving them one whole pair of socks before I decide whether to keep or destash them).

These socks are part of the #stashtogiftkal run by the lovely Emily and Karla from the Relentless Knitting podcast.

I finished and blocked the lace panels for my Japan Sleeves pullover. The next step is to pick up 300+ stitches from along the side, so I think that will take another Saturday afternoon to do. I thought this was going to be a quick project but I don't think it will be at all.

I knitted a bunch on the sleeve of my Lesley jumper. This jumper is so soft and it looks so comfortable already I just want to get it done! But I really bloody hate knitting knitting the damn sleeves. There is no excuse for this not being done after a few more knitting sessions except I don't ever want to work on the sleeves.

This jumper is part of the #aussiealong2017 run by Hanna from the Rose Hip Knits podcast.

I almost knit a whole sock! This is the January instalment of the Little Yellow Cat sock club, which I got for Christmas. The yarn is really nice to work with - it's a merino, silk and bamboo blend, so perfect to work with on hot days. The next instalment is due in March and I really want to get these done before it arrives.

That was a lot of knitting for one day! I actually knit so much on the Saturday that I gave myself hand cramp, but it was lovely and just what I needed to do.
